The City of Coffs Harbour

Meaningful insights to inform resource planning

Context

The City of Coffs Harbour had been tracking customer satisfaction for a number of years. Keen to update its approach to hear from a robust and representative sample and gain meaningful insights, the City switched to using the MARKYT® Community Scorecard and MARKYT® Wellbeing Scorecard.

We were able to double the sample size to more than 2,000 responses, all within the City’s budget.

Result

The City gained clear and practical insights about how it could improve service levels and quality of life. While self-reported general health had improved, the community sought Council support to lobby for a better equipped hospital with more specialist services. The community also wanted Council to focus on delivering better roads, paths and cycleways. The City was able to use results to support budget decisions and long term financial planning.
